I’m going to be taking a lot less time on this app for a bit as I commit to finally working on the podcast I’ve been wanting to do, and my next book proposal and takin more time with my Love and nature ♥️😍

Today is the last day for enrolling in our virtual

Today is the last day for enrolling in our virtual spiritual community space @radicalawakenings - and if your heart has been called then come join us. There is magic cooking, and healing happening, creativity brewing, dances and prayers being sung...we gather twice a month on the new and full moons and I send a transmission at the beginning of each cycle with rituals and practices for the month ahead and the theme we are working with.

Honoring our womb wisdom, bodies, s*xuality, nature, the moon, ritual, feelings, and giving our heart’s gifts to the world.

It is my pleasure to be the guide for this co-creative space and an honor to be practicing amongst such dedicated women.

There is such a delicate risk of being a soft bod

There is such a delicate risk
of being a soft bodied open hearted
tender being
and also choosing to share one’s self publicly
or work in fast places or choose to operate in this world...

It almost doesn’t make sense most of the time!

It would make sense to harden and toughen up,
and I see many who must do that in order to survive, as I often have,
you just create
many walls or barriers,
stay safely behind
certain things,
to protect your heart.

And the path
of the writer
or artist
or creator
or entrepreneur,
small or widely known -
in these times means you take a risk...

Each time you share a piece of your heart, you risk so much.

You know how much effort and practice went into channeling each bit of your truth and getting it ready to share...

You know the practice it will take to stay soft and open regardless of how your heart is received...

And those wild and weird and mad for living and Co-creating with life do it anyway !

Ha!

I commend and applaud those who
give
and give
your hearts
in songs
and poems
and programs
and podcasts
and products
as the world often
makes you want to harden
and make a shell to protect your magic...

But you stay open anyway!

This is HIGH practice.

I’ve been doing this dance for many years and it still takes so much practice and courage and devotion-

But there’s no other way.

To create,
and give because if you did not
You would die inside,
Shrivel up...

So you find the courage to stay soft and also give
To be strong and also tender-

Because a life of not creating or storytelling or singing to others
would be a life of not breathing to an artist’s soul

Bless those who gave anyway
Kept writing
Kept creating
From a soft and open heart
Even amidst a hardened and sometimes harsh world-

It takes courage
And
I salute you for it
From my Heart x

As the external world and chaos presses in and col

As the external world and chaos presses in and collective transformation heats and churns and my own stuff rises I remember: “This is my practice! To feel and breathe and not turn away!”👻♥️

Time to stay in the body!

To stay tethered to what is sacred !

To soften and not harden or become numb!

To have the courage to feel and face the tough stuff !

To find the center!

To lose the center!

And then find it again!

To not run and hide or numb out!

To turn towards the fears!

And BREATHE x 10!

To continue to practice the deep healing and SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATIVE value of these times !

The deep SOUL WORK!

And not get lost in the swirling chaos!

That is a RADICAL ACT.

And some days it’s just binge watching The Wilds and taking a bath and staring at the wall and having a cup of tea and loving the little one inside and slowing down as the healing !

But some days I have the courage to stay with the tough stuff - the buried pain and SHADOWS

The fears and uncertainty
and
back into the heart ♥️
to walk through the world
attempting
to stay grounded,
embodied,
conscious,
speaking up,
centered in love
and not fear
or reactivity
As the mission
And that divine balance
is my way-
a middle path
of the hot fires of transformation
and healing
and the cool waters of rest
and turning inward—
✌🏼🎊🥳

Our tools are
meditation,
prayer,
ritual,
self expression,
working with the moon and stars, embodiment practice,

When I was a little girl my Brazilian dad used to

When I was a little girl my Brazilian dad used to say to me: “Life is hard my darling and it goes fast. Enjoy it while it’s here. Savor it when it’s good, because it gets hard.”

My Pollyanna bright eyed self would fight and say “No! Life is good! It’s beautiful! It’s not hard!”

At the time I didn’t understand the sublime coupling of joy and sorrow,
Agony and ecstasy,
Death and rebirth...

The exquisite contrast that makes night turning to day and back again so miraculous.

I was young on my spiritual path and trying to hold tight to an idea that “Life is beautiful” without accepting the full picture of this realm.

Now it’s my practice to not avoid the pain or scary stuff.

In the last two hours: a person screaming outside on the street. Then an awful nightmare.

Fear in the body.

Then at the airport at 5 am a woman playing a grand piano, the song my love and I sing to each other, delicately and gently filling the whole TSA with this song that touches my heart.

Love in the body.

And it’s all part of it.

I wouldn’t trade those moments where I am afraid and then come back to love as my practice.

As I become more open and more aware- I’m more open and aware to ALL of it and have more courage to breathe into it instead of run!

The beauty AND pain.

As my Wise Man Love said recently: “More awareness does not equal less suffering.”

In fact, I’ll add, as an embodied woman with an open heart the more I awaken and open *the more suffering I feel.*

But I have less and less fear of it.

As long as I keep my heart open
as much as possible
as my tether that reaches beyond this world,
then everyday I can feel more of it all, stay present,
and turn towards what scares me instead of away from it.

It is a *full time* practice that creates BEAUTIFUL things like potency, presence, poise, grace, unconditional love, compassion, fierce love...virtues that are carried into the world as gifts.
